The Baytree Suite

This sun-lit serviced apartment is named after the ancient baytree that spreads its leaves over the balcony. The suite was originally built as a sitting room and was used exclusively by Dr Brewer, the first owner of ‘Annesley House’ and his family. The sitting room has now been transformed into an elegant apartment that provides the finest Portland accommodation a modern travelling couple or corporate guest could desire.

With a bit of imagination it is easy to picture the good doctor’s wife making tea for her family (‘don’t forget one spoonful for each person and one for the pot!’) in the day room. This charming room overlooks the cottage garden of Annesley House and has a set of French doors which open out onto a small private balcony.

A main feature of the ‘Baytree’ apartment is the spacious, light-filled bathroom. After a day enjoying one of Portland’s nature walks or magnificent beaches, a soak in the claw foot bath is just what the doctor ordered!  Stylish is how ‘Baytree’s’ bathroom is best described.

Our guests have said that ‘Baytree’ is a “special stay in Portland” that ‘leaves a lasting impression’ and we are sure that you will be of the same opinion.PRINT_DSC_0056PRINT_DSC_0048aPRINT_DSC_0044a
